The DGT app turns one year and accumulates 2.5 million discharges.
The DGT continues to work on new functionalities. Online documentation is the same as in traffic paper. midget is available both on iOS and Android.
It offers the possibility of providing a digital driving licence with full legal validity throughout Spain and also making various efforts online.
It's the DGT app that turns a year over 2.5 million discharges. Let us remember that it was launched at a time when the Coronavirus pandemic paralyzed the country.
In the first instance, it allowed several administrative efforts, such as the provision of the electronic vehicle technical record, data consultation (ITV, insurance, environmental label, etc), points balance, receiving notices and interest alerts.
New update Over the past 12 months, it has incorporated more functionalities such as requesting vehicle reports, fees payments, verifying official documents or sharing vehicle documentation. In fact, following the update in November over 220,000 drivers have consulted a basic report on a vehicle and over 8,000 have acquired and unloaded a full report, which is always recommended if a second-hand vehicle is intended to buy.
More than 13,000 fees have also been paid for the conduct of different administrative procedures and more than 8,000 times have been shared with another user of the application. According to the DGT, this functionality is more used by users, since in the case of family vehicles it allows a driver to carry all the digital documentation of the vehicle when the vehicle is not the holder. To this end, the holder and driver should be MIDGT users.
